Øvre Berge inspired

I wanted to weave something for myself while still practicing floatwork. The pattern is by Randi Stoltz, I’ve modified the threading slightly.

Randi Stoltz’s band

Øvre Berge is located in the present-day municipality of Lyngdal in Norway.

The original band is dated to the 6th century and is made of red, yellow, and blue wool. I will not post a picture of it here as it contains offensive symbols, but I did post it in a previous entry.

For my band I used 29 tablets (8 borders + 21 designs). It’s woven with 20/2 silk purchased from Dixie Weaver. It’s 149.5cm / 4’11” long. It should be going on an apple green or natural linen tun
